International Journal on E-Learning, v20 n1 p83-108 Jan 2021
The current study examines teachers' views and perceptions of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and whether there are differences between teachers in veteran schools (with over four years of experience in the ICT program) and teachers in schools with less experience. The study included 81 teachers from fifteen schools at various stages of the program. The research methodology was qualitative. An online questionnaire was built using 'Google Forms'. The findings support the notion that the more positive teachers' emotional and cognitive aspects toward technology and computers, and particularly their approach to integrating computers in teaching, are -- higher levels and better integration are expected of meaningful digital teaching-learning. This study attempted to investigate the integration of change processes of teaching methods and their implementation within the national ICT program. Teachers' views and perceptions of the digital environment and their role in teaching can greatly affect the assimilation of information technologies in the classroom. The study's primary contribution is on a practical level concerning views of the school's website and the degree of integration of technology in teaching through the website.
