This article evaluates the career opportunities within the field of entrepreneurship in higher education from 1989 to 2019. The article examines job advertisements and the respective candidates that are applying for these positions. Jobs and candidates are broken down into the following categories: international, rank, tenure and non-tenure track, and areas of expertise. In 2018/19 there were 509 advertisements for entrepreneurship positions. The number of candidates who advertised for entrepreneurship positions was 182 for a ratio of 2.8 jobs per candidate. The total number of tenure track positions was 261 or 51% of the total number of jobs. The ratio of the total number of tenure track positions (261) per tenure track candidate (181) was 1.44.
