Women Leading with Authenticity
Goodwin, Kristy
College and University, v94 n1 p33-34 Feb 2019
Being a woman leader in higher education has many challenges. The author often reflects on the careers she has attained and the advice she has given to students and colleagues only to realize she has always been an advocate for improvement, advancement, and fairness. She gives advice on how women can lead authentically: (1) Take care of your body; (2) Dedicate 30 minutes each day to meditate; (3) Dedicate some time at work to review your day; (4) Prioritize your day; (5) Think before you speak; (6) Advocate for what's right; (7) Choose your battles wisely; (8) Only change what you know you can; and (9) Start over again tomorrow.
