Though lauded as a best practice, gender-inclusive housing has engendered little empirical attention. This study explored the experience of genderinclusive housing from the perspective of trans* students. While they were overwhelmingly positive in their appreciation for the existence of this housing option, issues of access, training, and the regulating gaze of cisgender stakeholders circumscribed the experience. Recommendations for moving from a "better than most" provision to an intentional practice that serves trans* students' flourishing are provided.
