Identification of the Motion of an Object from a Video Capture with No Reference Frame Using a Mobile Phone
Physics Education, v54 n1 Article 015020 Jan 2019
This paper presents the creation of an educational resource using the camera of a mobile phone and video analysis software. The movie recorded is part of a daily context: an airplane's take-off. This work shows a way to introduce information and communication technologies (ICT) and digital educational resources (DER) as tools to teach and disseminate physics in schools. Through the contextualization of students' daily situations, ICT encourage students to increase their interest and understanding of science topics based on their own realities, which becomes an important educational tool available to teachers.
