The library's role in correctional education is to support, broaden, and strengthen the rehabilitative program and to provide services for those seeking education, information, and recreation. The dual philosophy of the library staff, the user characteristics, barriers, operational procedures, the staff, shortcomings, and general aspects are discussed. (Author/JB)
