An urgent demand of society to conduct effective work with the family substantiates the relevance of the research. The article provides the investigation of role sets and emotional relationships in marriage through the study of military personnel and nonmilitary personnel families. Practical implementation of psychological ideas represents one of family psychology topical issues, deepens, expands, and specifies modern representations of family psychology. The importance of this research is determined by the necessity to consider the specificity of family roles distribution and features of emotional relationships in military personnel families.
