The Australian Education Union's Response to Kevin Donnelly's "The Australian Education Union: A History of Opposing School Choice and School Autonomy Down-Under"
Hopgood, Susan
Journal of School Choice, v9 n4 p642-645 2015
This article is a response to Kevin Donnelly's article, "The Australian Education Union: A History of Opposing School Choice and School Autonomy Down-Under," and aims to correct specific errors and misrepresentations as found by Susan Hopgood, Federal Secretary of the Australian Education Union. She argues that the article is misleading in terms of its representation of Australian Education Union (AEU) policies and use of source reference material. According to Susan Hopgood, Kevin Donnelly's claims in his article lack academic rigor in terms of the available evidence about the issues addressed and is characterized by his political party involvement.
