Role of Object Constancy in the Perception of Object Orientation. Some Methodological Considerations in Studies of Human Infants
Harris, L. J.; Allen, T. W.
Human Development, 17, 3, 187-200, 74
Reviews examples from the recent psychological literature relating to object orientation and constancy. The conclusion is reached that the attempt to separate the constancy and discrimination questions in an experimental design employing only a single dependent variable fails practically and theoretically. A theoretically more acceptable multi-variable design is outlined. (Author/CS)
