Enhancing Creativity and Innovation at All Levels of Education and Training to Face New Economic and Social Challenges
Berlinguer, Luigi
Educational Technology, v52 n2 p6-9 Mar-Apr 2012
The digital revolution is transforming the ways in which knowledge and culture are produced, accessed, and, most of all, created and re-created. And as the Internet is nowadays generally acknowledged to be a public or a common good, this leads us to re-think the laws written for the 20th century technology, economy, and culture. Moreover, the present financial, economic, and social crises force governments to support sustainable development, which means to think differently and creatively about economic and human development. This article delineates some questions about how enhancing creativity can face these new economic and social challenges, and how this affects education. (Contains 5 footnotes.)
