The formation of an environmental studies center and its efforts to better prepare inservice teachers for developing and implementing environmental education programs are discussed. Seminars, workshops, problem clinics, field trips, and consulting services are some of the methods used. Means of generating community interest and administrative support are suggested. (LS)
