This article discusses the results of a two-year paraprofessional training program in basic counseling skills, sponsored by the Department of Counseling and Guidance at Indiana University and the Indiana State Employment Securities Division. The Rokeach Dogmatism Scale and the Porter Test of Counselor Attitudes were used as criterion measures in the study. Trainees evidenced significant growth on both criterion measures. (Author/EK)
