Counseling Internship: A Specific Goal-Setting Model
Packwood, William T.
Counselor Education and Supervision, 13, 2, 154-155, Dec 73
This short article describes the specific behaviors expected of interns in counseling psychology at the University of Minnesota. The behaviors were divided into six areas: relationship counseling, behavior modification, group work, organizational intervention, office procedures, and information and research. Each area required six levels of increased competency (which in turn had up to 16 specific behaviors within it). Success of this time consuming internship model was largely determined by the relationship of supervisor and intern. (EK)
