The CUES was used to compare perceptions of Anglo- and Mexican-American students. Significant differences showed that Mexican-Americans perceived a concern for etiquette and politeness and a demand for intellectual exertion. Directional differences suggested that Mexican-Americans were not as comfortable in the environment and were not as sensitive to its practical benefits. (Author)
