This study examined supervisor commitment to supervisee as a variable related to the supervisor's provision of the facilitative dimensions of empathy, warmth, and genuineness. Results support the hypothesis that a positive relationship exists between a supervisor's commitment to his or her supervisee and the supervisor's ability to offer the supervisee the facilitative dimensions of empathy, warmth, and genuineness.
