Cross-Cultural Differences and Rehabilitation Implications
Cope, Corrine S.; And Others
Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, 16, 3, 162-171, Mar 73
Rehabilitation counselors, aides, and supervisory personnel rated statements on a 36-item inventory as behaviors characteristic either of poor or middle class clients. The results showed consistent ratings that provided evidence that meaningful cross-cultural differences exist. Special considerations for cross-cultural counseling are discussed with regard to health language styles, work styles, and psychological characteristics. (Author)
