Compares engineering faculty work load at Brigham Young and Purdue Universities based on an analysis of ten types of teaching assignments. Suggests that administrators adapt time measurement scales of faculty work load to include actual classroom time, preparation and follow-up, assigned research, personal development, committee work, and student counseling.
