This publication combines the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO)'s practice guides, practice resources and explainer on delivering reading interventions in a secondary school multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), with details of the methodology used to create these resources. AERO has developed a suite of guidance in partnership with the Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (DSF) for secondary school leaders and teachers looking to support students struggling with foundational literacy skills. These resources are designed to equip school leaders to effectively implement and deliver MTSS for reading instruction in secondary schools. This publication collects these resources, including: (1) An evidence explainer, which uses evidence to explain important topics and concepts related to supporting students struggling with foundational skills; (2) MTSS practice guides, which outline effective evidence-based practices when delivering MTSS for reading instruction, and help schools identify next steps in delivering MTSS effectively; (3) MTSS practice resources, which provide practical guidance for implementing and building proficiency in delivering MTSS for reading instruction in schools; (4) A methodology section, which outlines the process DSF used to create AERO's MTSS reading resources.
