In this study, 131 financial aid professionals in the South Carolina Technical College System were surveyed utilizing the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. Participants were highly engaged in the elements of vigor (M=4.52), dedication (M=4.89), and absorption (M=4.17) of job duties. In exploring the research, there was no significant difference in engagement related to job title of counselor (M=4.39), specialized manager (M=4.41), or director (M=4.79) nor for the number of years in the profession for less than ten (M=4.41), between 10-15, and greater than 15 years (M=4.58). Results between four and five indicate engagement in job duties at least once a week for those financial aid personnel within the System. This study provides insight into the work experience of financial aid personnel within the South Carolina Technical College System, with respect to years of experience and job title as well as professional demands and leadership options.
