Gamification in the Classroom the Gamification Game On! Starter Kit for High School Classroom Educators
Kimberly A. Redman; Darunporn Honghern
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Morehead State University
The Gamification Game ON! Starter Kit provides educators with resources and instruction to create a gamified classroom. This kit aims to simplify the process for educators while maintaining their creative freedom, and outlines a summary of the research, design, and development of an educator kit to incorporate gamification in their classroom. Additionally, the capstone includes a professional development element to accompany the Game ON! Starter Kit. Thus, it can be incorporated asynchronously or in person. The gamification kit is designed and developed to address the need to guide educators in creating their gamified classroom. By offering a structured approach, the kit ensures that educators can easily integrate gamification into their teaching methods. Because educators are highly busy individuals, they may have a desire to gamify, but they do not always have the time to modify and plan a gamified lesson. This kit provides a time-saving solution without compromising quality or content; the kit will save teachers time but still embraces their creativity to meet the needs of their specific student population.
