Student veterans play an integral role in higher education. Veterans bring a unique and holistic understanding of world views when they enter the classroom. Student veterans bring leadership and teamwork to the classroom. Understanding the effects COVID-19 had on the student veteran population during the onset of the pandemic and transition to online or hybrid learning. The study provides a deep understanding through personal interviews and further analysis of what the positive and negative impacts were. Through this valuable information, higher learning institutions can adopt measures to ensure the success of the student veterans in the classroom.
