Tara Brewer
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Saint Leo University
The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the reading program, System 44, on students with learning disabilities in grades six and seven at a small rural middle school. The middle school implemented the reading program during the 2018-2019 school year to assist students reading below grade level to "catch up" or close the achievement gap. Specifically, the study investigated achievement gains for students who participated in the System 44 program during the 2018-2019 school year and the first half of the 2019-2020 year. This study determined if any significant difference in reading skills exist for learning disabled students who utilized this reading intervention program. The study investigated if growth was achieved. [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC. Further reproduction is prohibited without permission.
