Eon George
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, University of West Georgia
This consensual qualitative research study presents findings on how teachers perceive elementary students' learning styles and behaviors. Study participants were randomly selected from teachers at three elementary schools in a large metropolitan school district in the South Eastern United States. Domains, categories, and sub-categories were identified from the participant's responses and analyzed to provide context for collaboration to create a safe and caring school environment that fosters student growth. The researcher provided recommendations and implications for practicing school counselors, teachers, and parents. The paper concludes with a discussion of learning styles and behaviors and implications and recommendations for future research.
