A Study on the Revitalization of the Educational Community through Learner-Centered Education: The Case of Surachana English School

The purpose of this study is to recovery educational community of Surachana English School in Nepal in a learner-centered education way. The project had been conducted for 12 weeks with 10 teachers teaching in the school for achieving the purpose. To measure and analyze the project, two methods like quantitative and qualitative were used. Through the twelve workshops based on the open education chaning from educator-centered to learner-centered education, the participants understood about a community learning mutually and educating students by wholistic approach. The result of the project showed 11% improvement of quantitative measurement when comparing before and after the project. This project may contribute to establish educational community learning mutually: 1) teachers and students at the school and 2) students and parents at home.
