This study addresses several research questions. First, it explores the New Jersey undergraduate college students' perceptions of campus-based mental health services. Second, this study assesses the students' awareness of campus-based mental health services in NJ. This study also identifies the barriers preventing NJ undergraduate college students' from utilizing mental health services on their respective campuses. Additionally, this study provides suggestions about the ways that the NJ colleges and universities could potentially improve their campus-based mental health services. The study used a quantitative research method with an online survey. Campus-based mental health services can be beneficial to many college students, however, a large percentage of college students fail to seek the support they need. The findings of this study also sheds light on how often participants used mental health services on campus, what stopped them from using the services offered, and they shared how inclined they were to seek mental health services if located elsewhere. The findings indicate that participants felt more comfortable seeking mental health services off campus rather than on campus. The research reveals important and helpful information despite the limitations encountered due to the small sample size.
