ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Concordia University Chicago
This study will examine the United States undergraduate student. It will focus on students' perceptions of how the study of foreign language curriculum at a higher educational institution is vital for a student's chosen profession and becoming a part of the global economy. A qualitative approach will be the method used to organize and investigate. Globalization theory will be the lens used to analyze the study. The sample population for this study consists of university men and women who are undergraduate students in a higher educational setting in the mid-western and southeastern part of the United States. The analysis and interpretation of the data collected from the pool of participants will reveal the findings. The study will draw conclusions, justify why the study was necessary, and explain how the research will enhance the research community.
