An Exploratory Study of the Relationship between Academic Optimism and Teacher Flow at the Secondary School Level
Eric Bryant
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, The University of Alabama
The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between two constructs that have been linked to improved teaching experiences and increased academic achievement in schools: academic optimism and teacher flow. While both concepts have been studied at length, there has been only one study to date that has been conducted on the relationship between the two constructs and this research endeavor focused on the relationship between academic optimism and teacher flow at the elementary school level. This study addressed this gap in the literature and determine whether or not there is a positive relationship between these two constructs at the secondary level.
