Professional Development and Instructional Technology: A Study on Professional Development and the Implementation of Instructional Technology

This study examined technology use, administrative support, professional development, and future practice. The purpose of the study was to determine if there was a relationship between professional development opportunities and technology use. School districts in Hunterdon County, New Jersey were explored in this study. The study was designed quantitatively, where data were collected utilizing a Microsoft Form survey that was created by the primary researcher. The survey focused on teachers' perceptions. The data collected from the survey were analyzed using independent sample t-tests. Additional statistics were run, such as Pearson's Correlations, to test for significant correlations between particular factors. The study determined that a significant correlation exists in regard to future practice and professional development and use and administrative support. However, the study determined that there were no statistically significant findings between use and professional development.
