An Examination of Teacher Morale on Students' Success in an Elementary Setting
Danielle Hicks
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene University
The researcher employed a quantitative, exploratory study with causal-comparative and correlational elements to investigate teacher morale related to experience, gender, and student reading achievement to carry out the research. The "Purdue Teacher Opinionnaire" measured teachers' morale in elementary schools. AimswebPlus was the instrument utilized to measure students' reading achievement. Overall, there was no significant difference between male and female teachers concerning teacher morale. The teachers within the elementary school displayed moderately high teacher morale. Morale factors such as teacher salaries receive the lowest morale scores, and rapport amongst teachers receives the highest morale rating.
