The purpose of this study was to explore the viewpoints of members of Black Greek-letter organizations on how membership influenced their leadership and career development. Scholarly research has generally ignored the significance and relevance of Black Greek-letter organizations. A research deficit exists on the positive effects Black Greek-letter organizations have on Black male and female students. This qualitative study used a semi-structured interview protocol to examine the lived experiences of 14 members of Black Greek-letter organizations who have graduated and currently working. The findings of this study could be used to provide specific ways to address young men's and women's needs to navigate the challenges experienced after graduation and joining the workforce.
