This study examines the correlation between i-Ready and FSA (Florida Standards Assessment) exam scores to investigate whether high scores in the i-Ready exam are associated with a solid performance in the FSA exam. Correlation coefficients were calculated after scaling the data, revealing strong positive correlations between i-Ready and FSA scores in both Math and Reading across different school years and grade levels. The results suggest that students who excel in i-Ready tend to achieve higher scores in corresponding FSA exams. Statistical significance was assessed through p-values, confirming the meaningfulness of these correlations. Additionally, the study explores potential differences in test scores among students of different races using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). The analysis indicated that racial background does not significantly affect test scores, while the choice of test subject (Math or Reading) significantly influenced both the i-Ready and FSA scores. Furthermore, interaction between race and test subjects was studied. We found no substantial evidence to suggest that a student's racial background significantly modified their math or reading assessment test scores. In summary, this research highlights the pivotal role of the test subject in explaining score variations, with race playing a limited role in determining student performance on these assessments. These nuanced insights provide valuable guidance in understanding student performance. [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC.
