An Obedience-Based Discipleship-Focused Train-the-Trainer Prototype Curriculum
Ross E. Adelmann
ProQuest LLC, D.Min. Dissertation, Regent University
The participant-centered, discipleship-focused train-the-trainer prototype identifies the changes discipleship requires of us and correlates those with various techniques and approaches used in effective participant-centered andragogy. The result is a train-the-trainer curriculum that teaches Christian leaders more effective training skills while embedding a more holistic view of discipleship. While most current discipleship leaders rightly emphasize highly personal and relational discipleship, most are still assenting to the need for lectures, almost wholly ignoring the adult-learning participant-centered training practices for the seminar or classroom setting. The prototype project of this dissertation addresses that void in the discipleship conversation. The feedback from three expert reviewers with training backgrounds affirms and enhances the dissertation project as a potentially groundbreaking addition to discipleship.
