The purpose of this quantitative research study was to determine employees' perceptions of their supervisors' ethical leadership and the perception's impact on employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment within the community and technical college system in Louisiana. Three validated instruments (Ethical Leadership Scale, Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, and the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire) were utilized to determine if a relationship existed between ethical leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. This research study endeavored to explore the relationship between ethical leadership and its impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment behavior among employees. Consequently, it was anticipated that this study would help move the research base from being merely conceptual and normative towards a more descriptive, empirical concept. This study found that a positive relationship exists between ethical leadership and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This finding supports the premise that ethical leadership leads to positive employee attitudes and behaviors, which contributes to overall organizational success. Given the level of urgency and pressure upon the leadership of Louisiana's community and technical college leaders, there is an emphasis on leadership within the LCTCS and a need to develop leaders who can inspire followers to perform at high levels.
