Education Sector Analysis. South Sudan

This Education Sector Analysis is conducted in the context of potential stability resulting in the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan; and the unforeseen impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis evaluates both the accomplishments and the challenges within the education sector in South Sudan, with its primary aim being to provide guidance for immediate and medium-term actions within the framework of the 2023-2027 General Education Sector Plan. Chapters in this analysis include include: (1) country context; (2) analysis of conflicts and disasters; (3) enrolment capacity, access, equity, and out-of-school children; (4) expenditure analysis; (5) management of quality education; and (6) technical vocational education and training and linkages with the labour market.
