This quantitative, multiple regression analysis examined the rate of engagement in antiracist practices, as well as the predictors of antiracist actions school counselors report taking to address racism and bias in schools. A national survey data set of 8,266 school counselor respondents was examined. After data cleaning, a total of 5,007 school counselor' responses were included in the analysis to determine the significance of both school counselor demographics variables and school population variables as predictors of the number of antiracist actions (out of a possible eight total actions) school counselors reported. Results of the analysis indicated that over 70% of the total sample size reported taking at least three out of the possible 8 antiracist actions. Results also indicated the significance of both school location type (B=0.172, t(3,152)=2.209, p=0.27) and sexual orientation (B=0.378, t(3,240) = 2.633, p=0.009) on predicting the number of antiracist actions school counselors reported taking. School counselors who identified as gay or bisexual and those practicing urban schools were more likely to engage in a higher number of antiracist actions when compared to suburban and rural counselors. Implications for school counseling practice and future research are discussed. [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC.
