Spiegel, Erica
ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology
This study expanded on the previous research on using a self-instructional manual for school staff to learn how to implement Discrete Trial Training (DTT). The purpose of this study was to teach public school staff how to implement DTT with fidelity, and to assess the useability and effectiveness, of an asynchronous online version of the DTT Manual (Fazzio & Martin, 2011). Using a within subject's design, three staff participants completed an online, asynchronous manual to learn how to implement DTT with children with autism, incorporating a video modeling phase to provide in the moment feedback. Results showed all participants increased their accuracy while implementing DTT throughout the study. [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC.
