A Comparative Study of Student Success Outcomes of Early College High School and Dual Credit at a Central Texas Community College
Rigsby, Terry
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, National American University
The purpose of this study was to examine the impact early college high school, and dual credit programs had on students grade point average, the number of college credits earned, persistence rates, and completion rates at a central Texas community college. The researcher used a non-experimental quantitative study, with secondary non-identifying historical data. After evaluating the four hypotheses, the researcher determined a difference existed between the student success measures of early college high school and dual credit students. This study compares student success indicators of early college high school and dual credit programs, as possible solutions to low graduation rates in Texas.
