Teacher Dispositions as Predictors of Technology Integration
Atchley, Stephanie
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene University
This study addressed teacher dispositions that predict overall technology use among pre-k through 12th grade teachers. The modified version of the Teacher Attribute Survey was given to 150 pre-k through 12th grade teachers. The Teacher Attribute Survey measured variables that included teacher self-efficacy, teacher philosophy, openness to change, teacher use of technology, student use of technology and overall use of technology. Multiple regression was used to determine the variables that best predict overall technology integration. Results indicate that a combination of the variables willingness to take graduate classes without an incentive and the amount of professional development best predicted overall classroom technology use.
