Faul, Callie C.
ProQuest LLC, M.S. Dissertation, Tarleton State University
The purpose of this research was to determine the retention rates of Agricultural Education graduates from Tarleton State University from the Fall of 2012 to the Spring of 2017. The research model for this study was descriptive/correlative. A survey instrument was used to evaluate the current status of the graduates. Survey items included demographic items, mentorship, and administrative support. The majority of the respondents indicated they have administrative support and were getting the essential resources for their program. The researcher recommends that teachers continue to advocate for their programs and cultivate a positive relationship with their administrators. Additionally, it would be beneficial if more agriculture teachers moved into administrative positions to continue this positive relationship between teachers and administration.
