This data report provides statistics about the number and percentage of Maryland community college students who earned a bachelor's degree from a public four-year campus in the state within a specified number of years: (1) Students who initially enrolled at community colleges, who transferred during the 2006-2007 academic year, and who earned a bachelor's degree within five years of transferring; (2) Students who initially enrolled at community colleges, who transferred during the 2007-2008 academic year, and who earned a bachelor's degree within four years of transferring; (3) Students who initially enrolled at community colleges, who transferred during the 2008-2009 academic year, and who earned a bachelor's degree within three years of transferring; and (4) Students who initially enrolled at community colleges, who transferred during the 2009-2010 academic year, and who earned a bachelor's degree within two years of transferring. In addition, the report presents the cumulative grade point average earned during the first year at the new institution by community college students who transferred to a four-year institution during 2010-2011. For each of the above groups, figures are provided for all transfer students, as well as for certain racial and ethnic subgroups (whites, African Americans, Hispanics, and all minorities combined).
