While the idea has existed since at least the 1950s, schools are only now beginning to truly experiment with the concept of income share agreements (ISAs). When structured well to be financially solvent and beneficial to both parties, income share agreements offer an innovative way to provide access to education at no up-front cost to students--and without undue government intervention and taxpayer burden.
