The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between teachers' perception of the Principals' Leadership Style, as measured by the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ5x) and Teachers' Job Satisfaction in the public school setting as measured by the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). A total of 133 current public-school teachers participated in this research. Attrition of teachers has been an ongoing issue within the public school system. Each year teacher attrition in the public education sector leaves many administrators with the challenge of recruiting, hiring and struggling to retain highly qualified teachers who possess the skills necessary to help students excel. More importantly, it leaves students without teachers who possess the skills needed to provide a high-quality education for all students. Retention of highly qualified teachers is critical to the academic success of public school students. This study will contribute to the scholarly research that will reveal leader behaviors that may result in Teachers' Job Satisfaction as an effort to retain effective teachers in the public school setting. Participants for this study consists of a convenience sample of teachers from public schools (elementary, middle and high school) in Texas. A Pearson Correlation was conducted. A multiple regression was conducted in order to reveal variables that are strong predictors of Teachers' Job Satisfaction.
