Corrections Education. Washington's Community and Technical Colleges
Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges
The Washington State Department of Corrections contracts with community colleges to provide basic education and job training at each of the state's 12 adult prisons so upon release, individuals are more likely to get jobs and less likely to return. Washington State community colleges build a bridge for offenders to successfully re-enter communities. This document briefly discusses the system in place between the community colleges and adult prisons, along with a list of college and prison partnerships and a list of programs offered.
