This dissertation research is positioned within the social problems that can be found in urban, rural, and suburban neighborhoods. Some communities face a host of problems that may be linked to the prevalence of drugs, gang violence, homeless families, robberies, and other social dilemmas. Finding solutions to these types of social problems is a daunting task. This dissertation examines family centers and their contributions to adding stability to neighborhoods. This case study research provides a rich description of how select family centers have battled problems that plague neighborhoods. These centers have brought people together in a safe haven so that they can address community problems. Findings of this study provide contextual evidence of how different types of family centers serve their stakeholders.
