A-Level Revision Guide: Travel and Tourism
Thirlaway, Joanne; Duckett, Ian
Learning and Skills Network (NJ3)
A-levels in Travel and Tourism are unitised qualifications that should take a minimum of two years to achieve. Successful completion of year one results in the candidate achieving a qualification in its own right: an AS level. This AS level will be deemed a single or a double award depending on how many units have been assessed. A single award comprises three units; a double award comprises six units. Having achieved an AS level, the learner can be assessed at a higher level the following year in order to gain an A-level in the same subject. This second year entails learners taking A2 units. This publication is for teachers and tutors to use as they help their learners to revise for the compulsory, externally assessed units of the A-level in Travel and Tourism. Appendices include: (1) Linking A-level Travel and Tourism to the world of work; and (2) Further information.
