This implementation guide is designed to assist teachers as they plan and implement the Cree Language and Culture Nine-year Program of Studies. Five chapters include: (1) Introduction; (2) Teaching and Learning Cree Language and Culture; (3) Planning for Instruction; (4) Classroom Assessment and Evaluation; and (5) Grade Level Samples (with separate discussion for each of grades 4, 5, and 6). Five appendices are included: (1) Specific Outcomes Chart (by grade); (2) Vocabulary and Classroom Expressions; (3) Planning Tools; (4) Graphic Organizers; and (5) Assessment Blackline Masters. A bibliography is included.
