A Flexible Pre-Major Model For British Columbia Departments Of Sociology: Final Report
Hinbest, Jerry
British Columbia Council on Admissions and Transfer
The Sociology/Anthropology Articulation Committee has engaged in a project resulting in tandem reports for each of the respective disciplines, which identify flexible pre-majors for both Sociology and Anthropology and summarize the specific types of courses that must be taken by students to allow them to transfer into the third year of a major. A table of equivalencies accompanies each report outlining exactly what courses are to be taken at each BC university and college to meet the pre-major requirements. Two appendixes are included: (1) Detailed Requirements for the Sociology Major; and (2) Detailed List of Sociology Course & Program Offerings for Institutions Without the Major. (Contains 6 tables and 4 footnotes.)
