This report presents results of the Iowa College Student Aid Commission's annual survey of colleges and universities in Iowa concerning racial and ethnic minority representation among students and faculty. The report summarizes trends in student enrollment, state-sponsored student financial aid, and faculty appointments by racial and ethnic population group for 1992 through 2007. In fall 2007, racial and ethnic minority students represented 8.8% of total enrollment at Iowa colleges and universities; 12% of Iowa-resident minority students were awarded financial aid through any of three key state-sponsored programs; and minority faculty represented 9.1% of all faculty at Iowa postsecondary institutions.
