Through the CIDA-funded University Partnerships in Cooperation and Development program, Canadian universities have partnered with their counterparts in developing countries to assist them in meeting their countries' sustainable development priorities. Invariably, these partnerships have entailed reaching beyond the walls of higher education institutions to tackle specific issues at the local and national levels.
