This document presents statistical data for Mississippi's 15 public community and junior college districts. Under the Enrollment section, detail is given with regard to: headcount enrollment, headcount enrollment by district and campus, credit headcount enrollment by district and campus, non-credit headcount enrollment by district and campus, credit headcount enrollment by county, and non-credit headcount enrollment by county. The Finance section discusses comparison of revenue by source and expenditure program, county tax support, students fees and charges per semester, expenditures by function and object, auxiliary enterprises concerning revenues and expenditures, and expenditure per FTE by function. Under the Other section, degrees awarded for 1999-2000, academic faculty salary schedule, and learning resources survey for 1999-2000 is examined. Highlights include: (1) total credit headcount for fall 1999 was 53,669; (2) total non-credit headcount for fall 1999 was 72,738; (3) Itawamba district had the largest headcount, at 28,090, followed by Hinds district at 18,423; (4) total minority credit headcount was 17,799 black students, 301 Hispanic, 290 Asian, and 285 American Indian; (5) total expenditures for fiscal year 2000 was $334,304,715; (6) total degrees awarded for 1999-2000 were 7,684--3,742 of which were A.A. degrees, 2,642 A.A.S. degrees, and 1,300 certificates; and (7) average salary range for a faculty member with a master's degree only was $31,885 to 48,489.
